Learn to Love Your Pension

On the 14th October at Flintshire Business Week we are set to launch a new initiative "Learn To Love Your Pension".

Whilst we are all looking for a pension to provide us security, income and an enjoyable lifestyle in our retirement, it is one of the most neglected areas of financial planning. In fact most people think that pensions are boring, but the point is they need careful nurturing to provide for our future.

Recent research has revealed that as many as 13.6 million people pay into a pension fund and yet pay no attention to how their money is being invested and have never even checked its performance! (Source: The Financial Times).

"This apathy appears to stem from a belief that pension funds are fixed, and that the individual whose money is at stake has no control whatsoever" explains Mark Reidford, Managing Director of Innes Reid.

Mark added "Our new campaign - "Learn To Love Your Pension" - allows anyone to visit our dedicated website, www.learntoloveyourpension.co.uk and download a FREE guide outlining why pensions are often misunderstood and unloved, and what can be done to ensure investors maximise the returns from their pension funds. There is also an invitation to come to us and review their approach to retirement planning, with a FREE consultation. The good news is that regular reviews can lead to a pension fund three times greater than a fund which has simply been left to run its course*, so please come and talk to us now."
